This place was awful. Truly awful. It was unclean, disgusting and vile. Night club next door going on until 7am so don't count on any sleep.Staff were rude. I would not let my worst enemy stay here. I plead do not stay here.
Actually the hotel was closed, the doors locked with a padlock with no sign providing infos to customers. After some struggling we managed to get in touch with the manager and we have been relocated to another hotel run by the same owner...
The most terrible hotel experience in my life. It is a total ripoff. You cannot sleep because of the club in the hotel grounds with it's loud music until 7 am. The room had ants and bugs even inside the refrigerator. Don't even think about booking.
The rooms were awful. You have to pay an extra 11 euros/day for the air conditioner to work. There was no sufficient furniture in the room, and the furniture present was very old and damaged. The staff were awful. The room was not clean, we had to clean it for ourselves. Overall, it was never as expected by the Booked.net website.
No towels and soap A/C FOR EXTRA CHARGE AND NOBOY TOLD US THIS AT RECEPTION. LOCATED WITH DISCO WHICH CLOSES 8AM. NOT POSSIBLE TO GET REST
The location is quite good.
I didn't like the fact that they didn't have any towels and had to dry ourselves with bed sheets instead :S
Nothing if I'm completely honest - the staff were ignorant, the room was falling apart - door (obviously smashed open many times) was barely lockable, no light bulb in the bathroom, ants in the bath and around the kitchenette. Had to pay an additional €11 for use of airconditioning even though Airconditioning as included on the booking confirmation as a feature (no extra charges specified and could have stayed at a much nicer location for the same money once the additional fee was paid)... We were put in the Maria Apts 200m up the road with a pool full of rubbish and no water inside... Oh and Booked.net failed to mention Rio Napa was actually River Reggae Afterparty club with kids outside in the road smashing bottles, cars and having sex... there were police outside from 4am onwards... not a nice place and I suggest you take them off your website or specify clearly what customers are getting themselves into by chosing the Rio Napa.
Mario the receptionist was very helpful, tried to sort all problems
The hotel was disgusting! From the day we got there our toilet was blocked and the day we left our toilet was blocked, so imagine having to walk to local shops to use the toilet every day! Nightmare. Besides that there was no shower curtain no pillow cases, my pillow was actually moulded and had blood stains on it. Cooking pans and pots had been used as ash trays and never cleaned. The cleaner came in to clean our room and almost cleared our table of free club entries some cash notes and when I replied I need those she replied "so" as she continued to put them in her binbag. Even tho the price is cheap its better to pay a bit extra and go elsewhere trust me.
Dirty air con was another £100 for the 5 days there was another £20 deposit no cooking equipment
Home of River Reggae After Party venue, staying at this hotel gives you the free pass for the after-party at the swimming pool.
If booked in time the price is 15 euros per day and for that money you get only the basics.
Awful! Don't go there!
The reception staff we're really rude. He got angry that we needed to pay by Visa and we had to wait 20 mins in the lobby to figure out how to use the card machine. I myself ended up doing it for him. Then when we were walked to our room it was about 150m away. Not ideal in the heat with a suitcase! We stayed in Maria apartments. Not Rio. Not impressed!
near shops, clubs cafe.
very dirty swimming pool, too small rooms
The guy on the front desk on the first night. Funny, welcoming and patient.
Anyone else on the front desk. Rude and impatient. Additionally there were facilities I had been lead to believe were in the cost of my booking, but were in fact charged extras, such as the air conditioning, which is pretty essential this time of year. Took a bit of a chunk out of my spending money and just seems pretty underhand it wasn't explained to me in the first place.
The price is much lower than the other hotels in the region, allowing a low-budget trip during the high season. The refrigerator works good, ices the water in minutes (and you need this!). The room was "old, but clean" style. There was even a view of the sea.
The price has it's price: it's a typical low budget place. There is no phone to call the reception. The receptionist doesn't understand the difference between clients and prisoners. There is no soap in the bathroom, no wifi. Without the air-condition the room is too hot. In the night you can hear the music from the club nearby even with windows closed (not very loud, but it disturbs). Besides this, some drunk tourists yelled all night in the corridor. The hotel requires a deposit 20 euro and returns it back when you leave. It is a logical practice, but it shouldn't be a surprise.
